So I read 12 books in December. These are

My Housemate is a Vampire by Jenna Levine

The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston

Lovelight Farms by BK Borison

The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston

Dance Of Thieves by Mary E Pearson

Vow Of Thieves by Mary E Pearson

Check & Mate by Ali Hazlewood

A Christmas Carol Audiobook by Charles Dickens

Glint by Raven Kennedy

The Christmas Fix by Lucy Score

Alone With You In The Ether by Olivie Blake

Funny Feelings by Tarah Dewit

Glint by Raven Kennedy was a re read for me and was just as enjoyable the second time around as it was the first time and was my favourite book of the month.

I also really enjoyed The Christmas Fix by Lucy Score and I want to read Mr Fixer Upper now too. I enjoyed The Christmas Fix because its small town vibes and I loved the character development from both Noah and Cat and I loved the maturity of Noah’s daughter Sara.

I also enjoyed Funny Feelings by Tarah Dewit as I loved the friends to lovers storyline between Meyer and Farley and the ultimate respect the couple had for each other.

I know nothing about chess but it did not take away from the storyline in Check& Mate by Ali Hazlewood.

The Dead Romantics and The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston were interesting concepts. As a whole I actually enjoyed The Dead Romantics more because I enjoyed the storyline as I preferred the characters, the storyline and romance more. I did enjoy The Seven Year Slip too but did not connect with the main male character in the present day. I preferred him being seven years in the past.

I also enjoyed Lovelight Farms and loved the side characters who also get their own stories in their own books and would like to read their stories at some point this year.

Dance Of Thieves and Vow Of Thieves by Mary E Pearson were also good romance books with an element of fantasy in them. I have not read The Remnant Chronicles which is set six years before what happens in Dance and Vow of Thieves, maybe I should have because it was not until half way through Vow Of Thieves, (it is the second book) that I finally understood the fantasy/magical element to the series but overall did not take away from how good the books are.

The hardest book for me to read in December was Alone ?With You In The Ether by Olive Blake. I do not know what it was and I felt like I was in a bit of a slump afterwards. Its the second book that I have read by Olivie Blake as I previously read One For My Enemy and I found that one hard to get through too. I nearly did not finish either book as I felt they both were not for me.

I listened to the audiobook of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens whilst I was Wrapping christmas presents and don’t really remember all of it.

I actually felt like I had a good reading month despite feeling like I was in a bit of a reading slump.
